*Create a character in your imagination and descibe your actions and appearence often.*
*You control only your character's thoughts, feelings, appearence, and actions*
*React to other players and let them react to you*
*Events that effect all players such as story development and battle outcomes are determained by subtle, usually unspoken, agreement through game flow.*
*Jump into the game, even if it's in progress*
Broad descriptions require no special annotation.
Example: RPG town is a place that many have heard of, but few have ever been to.
Personal thoughts, feelings, and actions are often placed in asterisks or italicized.
Example 1: *Now that I am in RPG town I'm not sure what to do*
Example 2: *Confused*
Example 3: *Approaches luridhope*
Spoken words are placed in quotes.
Example: "What the heck is going on here?!"
Characters belong to those who created them and cannot be controlled or misrepresented by other players.
Example:
Rex: *Walks into the bar and wipes the sweat from his brow*
Jane: *Rex orders a drink and then sings a song*
(Jane is not Rex. This is considered bad form. Jane should focus on her own character.)
Most importantly HAVE FUN! |
